“I can tell you exactly where every divot was in this field.” Corey Smith has worked with Lowe’s for 11 years. He graduated from West Charlotte High School and also played football for the Lions. “I’m proud to say that I graduated from this great school almost 12 years ago. And I mean, just the pride and joy that I had when I found out that Lowe’s would be a part of something so major – I really am glad that I was able to help out.”
Smith was one of nearly 150 Lowe’s Heroes employee volunteers who renovated Jack Martin Stadium at West Charlotte High School. Lowe’s partnered with the Carolina Panthers to complete repairs that enhanced the game-day experience for fans. Together, the Panthers and the NFL provided $250,000 in grants to assist the $2.1 million project, which provided the school a new football field, a new athletic track and new pride. Lowe’s Heroes employee volunteers contributed over 1,800 hours to renovate Jack Martin Stadium.
