More than 1,200 employees at Lowe’s Mooresville campus volunteered Sept. 7 and Sept. 8 to fill 20,000 Lowe’s buckets with cleaning supplies to send to neighborhoods in Houston that were hardest hit by Hurricane Harvey. Along with another 5,000 buckets being distributed in Texas, this makes up the largest bucket brigade in Lowe’s history.
In times of disaster, Lowe’s buckets filled with critical relief supplies are distributed to those in need. For many, the Lowe’s bucket brigade is the first sign of hope and recovery. The product donation to fill the 20,000 buckets is more than $500,000, joining Lowe’s $500,000 donation to American Red Cross Disaster Relief.
