As the eyes of the football world turned to Miami for Super Bowl LIV, two Lowe’s customers (and lifelong 49ers fans) had to pinch themselves from the stands.
Jennifer Hermann was shopping for poinsettias when she entered Lowe’s Black Friday sweepstakes last November. Although a frequent customer, it was her first time taking advantage of the holiday savings on Black Friday.
“When I checked out, Lowe’s gave me the Super Bowl scratch-off, which I entered online a couple days later,” said Hermann. “Since I never win anything, I didn’t think much of it, but then the phone rang.”
Hermann had just won two tickets to Super Bowl LIV including airfare, accommodations and $1,000 in spending money from Lowe’s. After celebrating with her husband, they knew that with another stroke of luck, they’d be watching their favorite team: the San Francisco 49ers. This of course came to fruition as the 49ers faced off against the Kansas City Chiefs.
“As someone who lived in the Bay area for over 40 years, I grew up watching Joe Montana and knew we had a special team this year behind Quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo,” said Hermann. “Although the 49ers lost, it was icing on the cake to watch them play in Miami. From pregame activities like Lowe’s Hometown to the fans’ camaraderie, it was an unforgettable experience.”
Lowe’s is the official Home Improvement Retail sponsor of the NFL and now sells more than 10,000 licensed NFL-branded merchandise items online and in select stores. For more information on Lowe’s NFL-branded merchandise, click here.
