Lowe’s leaders kick off National Sales Meeting

More than 3,000 leaders from across Lowe’s gathered in Las Vegas today as the company opened its 2017 National Sales Meeting. Each year at the three-day meeting, attendees come together to discuss the company’s strategic direction and plan for the coming months, and get prepared and motivated to lead their teams through the first half of the year. The theme of this year’s meeting is “Evolving” – a nod to 70 years of company history, a recognition of what Lowe’s must do to continue to be successful in the future, and a reminder of all the different ways that Lowe’s employees serve customers and the communities where they live and work.

A demonstration of that commitment to serving the community will take place tomorrow, on the meeting’s second day, as all 3,000-plus attendees participate in two service projects: one to benefit more than 4,000 Boys & Girls Clubs across the country, and one for Las Vegas-area schools and local revitalization efforts through Keep America Beautiful. This will represent the largest single-day community service project ever conducted by Lowe’s.

The week will conclude with a celebration of the successes of the past year, including an awards show on the final night when Lowe’s will honor the work of leaders and their teams from across the country, in almost every facet of the business.
