After evacuating from Hurricane Harvey, employees at the Aransas Pass Lowe’s store returned to work and saw more destruction. The category 4 storm with winds of 130 mph caused significant damage and three inches of rain inside the store.
Store Manager Valentin Deleon said clean up began almost immediately, “A lot of them evacuated and did the right thing. As soon as they were able to come back, they did the right thing, helping us put this place back together. They’re cleaning up, moving merchandise, so we can open up for our community.”
