Lowe’s strives every day to bring its customers great products with outstanding customer service. President & CEO, Marvin Ellison recently said, “It’s really important for Lowe’s to be a great company, but you can’t be a great company if you’re not taking care of the environment.”
That’s why Lowe’s is proud to have recently been included in the Dow Jones Sustainability Index for North America.
The Dow Jones Sustainability Indices (DJSI) are a family of best-in-class benchmarks for investors who have recognized that sustainable business practices are critical to generating long-term shareholder value and who wish to reflect their sustainability convictions in their investment portfolios. The family was launched in 1999 as the first global sustainability benchmark and tracks the stock performance of the world’s leading companies in terms of economic, environmental and social criteria.
This is the first time Lowe’s has been included in the indices since the inception of DJSI and is a testament to the company’s commitment to areas impacting the environment, social issues, and governance. Lowe’s will continue to push to be a company that’s aware, innovative and positively impactful. All of these efforts circle back to making sure customers can feel confident about their purchases and the products they bring into their home.
